Overview
The Jewelry Washer must ensure that orders are processed and tracked accurately. The position will include the efficient processing and cleaning of polished merchandise that has been altered or hand engraved and polished for individual customer orders. In this position, he/she will inspect and enforce department quality standards on all merchandise processed through washout.
Responsibilities
The Jewelry Washer is responsible for the washing, cleaning and inspecting of merchandise that was polished and assigned to the wash line area. This will include loading and unloading orders and processing them through the wash line, the use of ultrasonic cleaning tanks and steam cleaning the items. In addition, he/she will maintain all departmental standards for timeliness and quality, as well as meeting the published New Sales Alterations turn time requirements.
Qualifications
The candidate must have a High School Diploma and/or GED and two years experience in a technical work environment. The successful candidate should have experience in the cleaning of silver, gold, platinum and jewelry with precious stones. In additional, the candidate must be able to multi-task and work overtime as needed. Preferred candidates should have experience working with a steamer and ultrasonic cleaning equipment and/or operating a Crest or Branson wash line unit
