Independent jewelry company in Boston is hiring a part-time (with potential to move to full-time) Bench Jeweler with strong skills and experience in jewelry fabrication.
The ideal candidate is adept at:
•Fabrication of settings, rings, and other jewelry in 14k + 18k gold (including clean soldering, fabricating, forging, and finishing).
•Setting precious and semi-precious stones of various harness, size, and shape in bead, prong and bezel settings.
•Working with castings.
•Light repair work such as ring re-sizings.
•Wax-carving and/or CAD skills would be appreciated but are not necessary.

Candidate must be organized and able to complete projects in a timely manner with a can-do attitude. The ability to move between self-direction and collaborative work is important. Extreme attention to detail with a sharp eye is absolutely essential.
Candidate needs to be able to work with retail customers from time to time, in a personable, knowledgeable, and professional manner.
