Long’s Jewelers is seeking a Luxury Watch Tech to assist with the repair and maintenance of luxury timepieces. Essential Job Functions / Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct servicing and maintenance of watches, primarily by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling components.
- Diagnose watch defects, testing and replacing parts and batteries as necessary.
- Determine causes of watch malfunctions, such as defects in parts or incorrect adjustment.
- Provide customer service and assist the store team with client needs such as sizing bracelets, engraving, suggesting improvements and answering questions.
- Perform oiling, polishing, and buffing to restore watches to their original condition for the Estate department.
- Maintain tools, workplace, and inventory in an organized, safe manner.
- Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining repair records.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 1 year of Technical School training or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- Knowledge of watch service and repair operations a plus. Long’s is willing to train the right candidate.
- General understanding of and/or a true passion for horology and luxury timepieces.
- Ability to work under pressure achieving a high level of accuracy and keen attention to detail.
- Analytic approach to problem solving with a high drive for excellence.
- Must have excellent fine motor skills.
