Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Watch Repair Technician well-versed in the mechanical and operational elements of watches. The technician will replace parts, correct timing issues, repair dials, perform cleaning, and restore watches to their original function. Duties include diagnosing problems with broken watches and using technical skills to fix these issues quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Self-allocate work according to current reporting formats.
  • Read job/repair tickets to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Perform repairs using correct techniques and tools according to standards.
  • Allocate spare parts used to the correct job.
  • Order additional required spare parts according to current policies and procedures.
  • Scan and document all jobs correctly according to systems and processes.
  • Complete relevant paperwork and attach any required testing documentation before passing work to Quality Control.

Key Duties:

  • Fit dials and hands to exchanged or internally serviced movements and re-case on trained models, maintaining standards of quality, lead time, and cost.
  • Carry out maintenance services and partial repairs as trained.
  • Perform other administrative and technical duties as required by the Head Watchmaker(s) and Repair Coordinator.
  • Collaborate with the Lead or Head Watchmaker(s), Repair Coordinator and others to ensure repairs meet quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • High level of dexterity and focus to handle small parts with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in watchmaking is preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions and provide high-quality work efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills using available processes and tools.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and listening skills.
  • Computer literacy to access brand intranet portals and project management platforms.

Requirements:

  • Good levels of concentration and eye/hand coordination.
  • Proven track record working on quality watches.
  • Previous bench experience.
  • Passed the appropriate Breitling bench test.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Education:

  • Watchmaker/Tech diploma preferred.
  • Experience with luxury brands is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
