Position Overview:
As a Bench Jeweler at Fey & Co Jewelers, you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing our clients’ dreams to life by meticulously crafting and repairing fine jewelry pieces. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 4 years of bench jewelry experience and a deep appreciation for the artistry and precision required in this field. You’ll have the opportunity to work from either our Naperville, IL location or our Lincoln Park location in Chicago, IL, contributing to the legacy of our family-owned company.
Responsibilities:
- Expertly perform various jewelry repair and restoration tasks, including resizing, soldering, setting stones, and refinishing, while adhering to the highest quality standards.
- Create custom jewelry pieces, translating clients’ visions into reality with meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaborate with our design team to ensure accurate execution of designs and prototypes.
- Assess and evaluate jewelry pieces for necessary repairs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are well-maintained.
- Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and technologies to continually enhance skills.
Skills:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a bench jeweler.
- Proficiency in various jewelry repair techniques, including resizing, stone setting, soldering, and polishing.
- Trained on the use of a laser welder.
- Strong eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues.
- Adaptability and willingness to embrace new techniques and technologies in the jewelry industry.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
