We are a family owned and operated Jeweler & Pawnbroker who is looking for an honest, structured, and highly motivated individual to join our team. We have been in business in downtown Hollywood since 1958. This is a full-time position that requires prior experience as a watchmaker. Successful candidates must be able to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced collaborative environment.
Our watchmaker is responsible for providing high quality work on timepieces such as but not limited to Rolex, AP, Cartier, Breitling, etc. The successful candidate will be expected to assist store management in the administration of the service department to diagnose and service both quartz and mechanical movements.
Responsibilities
- Test timepieces for accuracy and performance
- Visually checking all components for damage
- Casing and Decasing
- Movement adjustments
- Bracelet adjustments
- Full Polishing
- Battery Replacement
- Use or develop adequate tools or processes to correct issues that can arise during the repair process
- Client Interaction
- Manage Repairs (Take in, Follow up, Completion)
Essential Experience & Knowledge
- Be able to work confidently, neatly, and accurately
- Be highly organized and capable of managing your own workload
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to work under pressure achieving a high level of accuracy
- One year of Technical School Training (desired or professional experience of 1-2 years)
- Experience in the diagnosis of both quartz and mechanical timepieces
- Basic verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to repair and refinish cases and bracelets
- Good communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 – $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
