About the Opportunity:

We are looking for a Watchmaker to join our team onsite at FASHIONPHILE’s Flagship in Carlsbad, CA. The main responsibilities of this role are to authenticate all watch parts and confirm all components are in working order with applicable certificates/packing, through proper testing and quality checks.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Assess all timepieces to verify authenticity and functionality, document condition and serial numbers.
  • Conduct quality control on all timepieces sold prior to shipping to the customer.
  • Source watch parts and facilitate third party or in-house repairs when needed.
  • Assist sales team during showroom appointments with watch sizing and other customer needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduate Watchmaker, WOSTEP, AWCI, SAWTA or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years recent experience in the watchmaking field
  • Customer service, sales or some customer interaction experience
  • Excellent vision or corrected vision, excellent time management and organizational skills, and  strong attention to detail
  • -Nice to Have: 5 + years recent experience in the watchmaking field
  • -Nice to Have: Authentication experience, working with Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Vacheron Constantin, Patek Philippe
  • -Nice to Have: Full watch repairs experience

Compensation:

Pay Rate: Compensation is based on experience related to job requirements, nice to haves, and location. The compensation range is between $29.33-$36.06. With 2-3 years = $29.33-$31.73, with 3-4 year = $30.77-$34.13, and with 4+ years = $34.13-36.06 for all New Hires into FASHIONPHILE’s West Coast Flagship in Carlsbad, CA. Additionally, this position is eligible for a bi-annual bonus of up to $5,000 a year.
