Charles Martin Watch Company is an independent watch repair centre that is based in the heart of the old market town of Uttoxeter Staffordshire.

Watches are all about passion, and our passion is to build the very best dedicated watch service centre in the country. Job Title
Watchmaker

Watchmaker Duties

  • Testing
  • Examining
  • Cleaning
  • Servicing
  • Regulating of Quartz, Manual, & Automatic Watches
  • Polishing
  • Repair

 

Working with a wide variety of luxury brands, Chronographs, Automatics, Manuals and Quartz based fashion watches.

 

Skills
Watches and horology will be a passion. You will see yourself as a real craftsmen / Craftswoman, that has real pride in his or her work. Honesty and integrity along with the ability to communicate on all levels are all essential skills required for this position.

Ideally you will have over a 1 years bench experience and will be confident with all movements.

 

Experience
You will have undergone a watchmakers apprenticeship or have achieved a recognised qualification such as BHI or WOSTEP. Time served experience will also be considered for applicants without formal qualifications.

 

Team
You will be required to work alongside the service and administration team and may be required from time to time to help and advise the clients on their service options. For the right candidate, as the service centre develops, your role could also involve developing and mentoring new technicians and undergoing further brand training.

 

Salary
The salary is dependant on qualifications and time served experience.

 

Hours
Flexible full time and part time hours.

 

Transport / Travel
Uttoxeter is easily accessed by road, bus and local train station. Parking available.
