Full Job Description: We are seeking a Bench Jeweler who will play a crucial role in the creation and repair of fine jewelry. You will work closely with our CAD designer to bring designs to life and ensure that all pieces meet our high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of jewelry repairs, including ring sizing, stone replacement, and soldering.
- Create custom jewelry pieces based on customer specifications and design concepts.
- Jewelry cleaning and polishing
- Collaborate with designer to refine and improve jewelry designs.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continually improve skills.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Bench Jeweler or similar role (3+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in traditional and modern jewelry-making techniques.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and creativity in design.
- Knowledge of jewelry materials and their properties.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications But Not Required:
- Certification from a recognized jewelry school or program.
- Experience with CAD software.
- Familiarity with gemstones and metal properties.
