Zadok Jewelers, one of the largest family-owned and operated jewelry stores in the United States, is looking for experienced Jewelry Setter & Polisher to join our amazing and growing team for our new Austin, Texas store.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Jewelry Setter & Polisher to join our . The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with diamonds and colored gemstones, exceptional finishing skills and the ability to maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality.

REQUIREMENT: Only experienced candidates with a minimum of 5 + years of professional stone setting and polishing experience will be considered. Please provide photos of your work portfolio with your resume.

Soldering and Sizing Metal for Jewelry

Responsibilities

  • Expertly set diamonds and colored gemstones in Prong, Pave, Micro Pave, Bezel, Channel, invisible, and specialty settings.
  • Perform high-quality polishing and finishing on gold and platinum jewelry.
  • Pre-polish, final polish, and restore finished pieces to showroom quality.
  • Inspect all jewelry before and after setting to ensure structural integrity and superior appearance.
  • Work with custom, repair and production jewelry pieces.
  • Identify and correct manufacturing issues prior to final delivery.
  • Maintain precise stone alignment, symmetry, spacing, and overall aesthetics.
  • Collaborate with CADD designers, bench jewelers, and production staff.
  • Handle high-value diamonds and gemstones with extreme care and accountability.
  • Maintain production efficiency while delivering exceptional craftsmanship.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience as a Jewelry Setter and Polisher.
  • Proven experience working with fine jewelry in gold, platinum, and precious gemstones.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced stone-setting techniques.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with luxury jewelry brands or high-end custom jewelry preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining superior workmanship.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bench jeweler experience is a strong plus.
  • Laser welding experience is a plus.
