Head Watchmaker
Due to the exponential growth and continued success enjoyed since launch, Essex based Luxe Watches are recruiting for an experienced Head Watchmaker.
Role
The intital role will be to take ownership of the watchmaker service center and project manage the fit-out and equip the required workspace to an agreed time frame in order that the location can begin to offer the technical support and aftersales.
You will liaise with parts suppliers, both existing and new, and begin to build resources that will enable you to start and grow this new departments’ effectiveness to deliver back value at the earliest time frame.
To begin with this role will be very labour intense as you oversee the creation of a fully functioning service centre however once workflow finds its level, there is an expectation of additional support to be forthcoming be it an administrator or possibly future colleague bench technician’s.
About You
•WOSTEP/BHI or Swiss watchmaking qualification and training
•Previous experience working with luxury Swiss watch brands
•Rolex/Patek/AP/Cartier accreditation would be highly desirable but not essential.
•Proficient at working on quartz, chronograph, automatic, and complicated movements
•Extensive experience in refurbishment of precious metal and stainless-steel cases and bracelets
•Achieve workload targets within agreed timeframes and standards, and contribute to achievement of department targets
•Support the business in providing an efficient and competitive UK aftersales service which appropriately reflects Luxe brand values and results in high customer satisfaction and brand loyalty
•Self-starter mentality
•Ability to work as part of a small but growing team and able to impart knowledge and enthusiasm.

•Confident to host watchmaking events for clients
