An exciting opportunity exists for a Watch Technician to join our world renowned team of watchmakers in Sydney.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the After Sales Service Manager, the Watch Technician is required to perform various technical operations during the watchmaking process for all Breitling products.
Main Duties
Technical operations involved in the watchmaking process :
•Dismantling the watch cases
•De-casing and re-casing the movement
•Movement exchange
•Dial & hands setting
•Fit new seals, pushers, crowns, glasses, dials and hands as instructed.
•Water resistance testing
•Timing/testing and quality control on various products
•Any other duties and reasonable requests, as required by the After Sales Service Manager.
Principal Responsibilities
•Reading the job card to ensure the customers’ requirements are met.
•Ensure all tasks are carried out using techniques and tools according to Breitling standards.
•Ensuring that all spare parts used are allocated to the correct job.
•Ensure all relevant paperwork is appropriately filled out, attaching any required testing documentation, before passing the work to the next steps.
•Ensure you are contributing to your unit’s productivity, whilst adhering to Breitling standards of quality, lead time and cost.
•Ensure you adhere to appropriate local regulations.
•Ensure you understand and promote the company values.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
•Watchmaking certificate preferred but not essential.
Experience:
•Previous experience in watchmaking preferred. Candidates with experience in a similar industry and a desire to work in watchmaking will also be considered.
•Knowledge/interest in Swiss watchmaking.
Personal skills:
•Good hand-eye coordination.
•High levels of concentration.
•Attention to detail.
•Self-motivated, well organised and able to work as part of a team.
•Able to manage targets and deadlines.
