Rare Swiss Watch Prices
The prices of the pre-owned Swiss watches swims against the tide amid growing concerns of the biggest slump faced by the Swiss watchmaking industry. One of the popular houses to buy pre-owned watches, Phillips, will auction aPatek Philippe. The rare timepiece sold is one of the four known to exist. It is one of the rarest known watches in the history. Experts estimates it is worth $3 million. In its November auctions, the Philips house is expected to gross at $102 million from its sales.
Compared to its larger competitors like Sotheby’s, Phillips has found a niche in rarest of the rare timepieces. The house manages to make more sales at lower volume. This allows it to spend more time looking for timepieces and negotiating with clients. Philips aims not to be one of the biggest sellers, but it wants to win trust and become the most trusted house. While the market of preowned collector’s watches remains undeterred, sales for the new ones show a gentle decline.
