Sometimes, trying to remove and reset friction fit push buttons without damaging the piece can seem like an impossible task. Luckily for you, you’ve discovered the Horotec Button Removing tool for Pushers. The friction fit or push in buttons have no threads to hold them into the case, therefore they fit tightly into the tool itself, making removing and resetting a nightmare. This tool was made to take the frustration out of fitting and removing these buttons and to get the job done without damaging the piece. Here’s how to use it:

Removing Case Tubes

Step 1

First you will need to find the right size die to fit into the case to push the tube out. Use a die that is not so big that it doesn’t fit into the case. It only needs to rest on the case shoulder of the case tube and not necessarily touch the case itself.

Step 2

Place the case over the horseshoe shaped nylon end with the inside of the case the facing up.

Step 3

Screw down the handle until the tube comes out of the case.

Fitting Case Tubes

Step 1

Place the case on the side of the tool with two nylon ends (top and bottom) with the outside of the case facing up. Place the tube into the hole with the case shoulder (tapered end) facing down.

Step 2

Screw down the handle until the tube is inserted up to the crown shoulder.

The case tube is now fitted into the case and ready for your next repair job.
